As I was getting in bed the other night to read, God had me see the moon through the narrow opening between the curtains. God had me get up and look out the window at the half-moon with its moonbeams shooting out in all directions. We know that this is a reflection of the sun’s light bouncing off the moon. Then how is this phenomenon work when it is dark out and the sun is nowhere to be seen? The sun is still out there, casting its glow onto the moon, even though we can’t see the sun. Sometimes the SON is hidden, but He still shines out from us to illuminate the darkness around us. I may be going through a dark time now, but God is still here reminding me that He is with me, where He has always been and will be, yet hidden, but also shining and reflecting off others so that I may still see Him. Are you that moon? Am I that moon? God wants you and me to reflect HIs light, love, His presence to others that need encouragement. Let God use us today as a reminder of God’s love and security today. Someone needs you, and another needs me to show God’s light, His love, to them when they are in a dark place, needing God’s light and His love to shine on them.
Oh, notice I said it was a half-moon. We don’t have to be a perfectly “full moon” to show others God’s love and presence. In other words, we don’t have to be perfect. He can use us as long as we are willing to be used. He is just looking for those who are open to His love and presence and stay in alignment with Him so we can shine with His love. God bless you and let Him use you today to shine for Him. Frank
